Description

Place your pupils in groups of five or six and have them sit in a circle facing  each  other.  Give  the  pupils  a  category  from  the  subject  area being studied and ask them to write down a concept or keyword on a  Post-it  without  anyone  else  seeing  it.  Pupils place  the  completed Post-it on the forehead of the person to their left.

Taking it in turns, each pupil is allowed to ask a question of each of the other players within the circle in order to find out what is written on  their  own  note.  The  other  players  can  only  answer  yes  or  no  to the  questions.  Pupils  should  keep  track  of  the  number  of  questions they must ask before they can determine the content of the Post-it. The pupil who asks the fewest questions wins.

Variations

Easier:  Make  the  subject  areas  simple  to  guess  by  limiting  the
number of key words available.

Harder: Place a time limit on the question period for each pupil.

     Players are challenged to  figure out the common characteristic or category for  lists of three related items. Age Range: 4 to 12 Skills Used: factual knowledge, reasoning,  listening Number of Players: 3 to 8 Noise Level: moderate to high Activity Level: low Materials: cards with lists of three related  items Setup Create cards listing three items that have something in common. Do you want to speak English and master the language like in the films? You just need to watch films not just for entertainment, but also for the seek of acquiring and mastering English. So what you need is to watch, listen to the spoken English and concentrate. When you finish watching it, speak about it to a friend who can also speak English. Finally, write some few sentences about it. Seven Tips for Learning English through Film and Movies 1. Choose an interesting movie.  This probably sounds obvious, but if you choose a boring movie, you’ll  be  bored. And if you’re bored, it will be difficult to pay attention…for more than one and a half hours! I remember when I was a child, I had to watch hours and hours of really old movies like “Singing in the Rain”, “Mary Poppins” to learn English.
